The former Olympic gold medalist, Kurt Angle, who many few years as a WWE Superstar at the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) by the ring name of name Kurt Angle, has recently been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2017. After appearing in his last match for the WWE in 2006, Kurt Angle left for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling. Although Angle was a WWE Superstar of repute, he did not return to the WWE, not even as a surprise entrant in any of the Royal Rumble 30-man over-the-top matches.

However, now that Angle has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, it is expected that Kurt Angle’s iconic music just might hit during the 30-man Royal Rumble match for a world championship match at WrestleMania 33. Although Angle returning to the WWE at the Royal Rumble are merely rumors, at the moment, they might become a reality now that Angle is yet again associated with the WWE as a Hall of Famer. The WWE might come up with a storyline for Angle to enter the Royal Rumble match that may give him more in-ring appearances following the Royal Rumble at Monday Night RAW or Smackdown Live. If Kurt does return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble, he will doing so after a hiatus of 11-years. It is yet to be seen what future Angle will have in the WWE. Now that Angle is a Hall of Famer, it pretty much means that his in-ring career is over however, he might show up for verbal confrontations with WWE’s heel characters in delivering them his famous Angle Locks and the Olympic Slam. The landscape of the WWE will certainly change, even if Angle returns to the WWE as a non-competitive wrestler.
